Ensuring a strong foundation for your dental health begins with you. Your examination will determine your customized path toward optimal dental health. In dentistry, prevention is definitely the best medicine. We are privileged to have patients coming back generations after generations, for their dental care. That kind of trust starts at age one and continues with all ages. Parents bring their children in for well-baby visits, fluoride application, and most importantly education. Patient education is tantamount to good oral health. Your continuing care is customized to your needs. Each patient has different needs, i.e., regular prophylaxis "cleanings", periodontal maintenance, implant maintenance, fluoride varnish applications, and exams exclusively for others.
Some patients come to us as adults without having been educated on the benefit of prevention practices. That is not a problem. It is never too late to start good habits. When you need restorative or perhaps total reconstruction, we are here for you. At Stetzel Dental we are a comprehensive dental office. That means all the terms you hear that may sound completely foreign to you, i.e., crowns, bridges, implants, filling, composites, resins, veneers, dentures, partial dentures, extractions, bonding and any other dental term you can think of. The point of naming all is these common dental procedures is to show you, we understand you may have questions. Recall if you will, the last time you pushed a grocery cart down the dental aisle in a store. You're looking for toothpaste. You feel as though you need a doctorate degree, just to choose the right toothpaste!
To clarify, an understanding of what you want and need is always discussed with options, in a comprehensive treatment plan. Our patients have consultations with our dentists to ask questions and make clear, informed choices for their dental care. To clutter your treatment with all the various types of veneers, porcelains, and materials is simply confusing--like that toothpaste aisle. You see, unlike the stores marketing toothpaste, we are treating your dental needs, not selling a trendy type of toothpaste.
Of course we also provide services often labeled as "cosmetic" or "aesthetic", like whitening your teeth. Again, like that toothpaste aisle, cosmetic dentistry is still dentistry. It is dentistry that is elective. We are happy to provide any services needed to change or improve your smile. Yes, we provide all of that! Also, our office is located conveniently within walking distance to most dental specialists. Referrals to such specialists may be needed, in some cases for the best dental treatment. After all, what is best for the patient is what you get at Stetzel Dental Group.
